Solea Dentistry

A pediatric dentist high fives her small patient, both with big smiles

Most pediatric patients successfully receive treatment in our friendly office setting. For patients with more complicated medical history or extensive treatment needs, it is occasionally necessary to complete treatment under general anesthesia in a hospital setting. In these cases, we work closely with Maine Medical Center to perform hospital dentistry at Scarborough Surgery Center or Bramhall Campus. Wherever we perform treatment, our staff adheres to the standards of care we employ at Just For Kids, putting your child’s comfort, safety, and well-being first.

LOVED BY KIDS, PREFERRED BY PARENTS

The miracle we’ve both been waiting for is here: Solea.®

Solea is a breakthrough dental laser that replaces the dental drill or scalpel for the vast majority of procedures in our practice. It’s gentle, fast, and precise. Solea helps to eliminate the three major fears of going to the dentist – the drill, needle, and numbness.

Nearly every patient skips anesthesia because they just don’t need it. Solea is our way of keeping you happy. Because more than anything, we love to see you smile.

A ZERO-ANXIETY EXPERIENCE

  • No drill, needles, or numbness
  • Gentle and virtually pain-free treatments
  • Less life disruption: your child can go directly back to school or extracurricular activities
  • Virtually no bleeding and no sutures
  • Rapid and predictable healing
  • Minimal post-operative discomfort
  • Reduced sedation and fewer operating room visits

Solea’s unique wavelength enables fast, precise, and gentle cutting of teeth and gums. Dental procedures, from simple cavities to complex surgeries, are completed virtually pain-free and blood-free, eliminating the need for anesthesia and sutures.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recognizes the use of lasers as a beneficial instrument in providing dental restorative and soft tissue procedures for infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs.1
